I originally had State Farm and was paying $232 for a Hyndai Tiburon, had a traffic accident for, Improper Lane Change, the other person did not file a claim, had to spend $500 to get my car fixed and $89 on municipal court fees. I was told that the incident, since I paid it in full and did not receive probation would not be held on my license, however it did make my insurance go up to $302, because of the deduct able, very understandable. This was in Ga. I moved to Ok. I looked at new insurance here and found one with Mercury Auto Insurance through a 3rd party company and received a quote for full coverage at $232 a month, so back down to normal price. They ran my license and everything, everything was fine, I even told them about the accident and they said that it would not change rates. Well, it did. I got my first statement and my bill was $314! I called up to the 3rd party company and they said that the insurance company charged my Improper Lane Change, as an Erratic Improper Lane Change, and as such it was classified as a traffic accident on my license and that's what made it go up. She said she would call me back, but she never did and I have been working so much, I haven't had a chance to call back. So here is what I need to know, and please no stupid insurance companies trying to solicit. 1. Who do I call in Ga. and have them dismiss those charges on my license and if they can't, how do I go about filing a lawsuit for illegal allegations after trial? 2. Who do I contact, when I have the proper information, the 3rd party company, or the actually insurance company....or both?

I was in a car accident yesterday. I live in California. THe other driver in front and her passenger were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries and their car had minor damage when I looked at it at the time of the accident. Hi. On April first, my neighbor hit my dad's car in our neighborhood. Our garages are facing each other, and my dad was going backwards to get out of our garage. I called my insurance to report the accident. In the night, when she returned home, we asked for her insurance, but she refused. We called the police and she agreed to give us her insurance information. In fact, she wrote the information herself. I called her insurance(Geico) the next day, and she had already made a claim, and she only said she didn't hit my car; she didn't give more details. My dad gave his version of the accident with a lot of details, but she didn't do it. Her Insurance tried to contact her, but there is no answer from her. I see her everyday, so I am sure is not responding on purpose. Now, her insurance called me and told me that because she is not responding, there is no way to confirm she was involved in the accident. therefore, they denied liability. I was shocked because they took that decision only because they cannot contact her. They didn't came to take pictures of the place or the cars. So, I tell them I was going to send the pictures I took. I did send the pictures but now, the adjuster is not in his office, and he will be back next week on Thursday. Hi, I'm 16 years old and I currently have a 2002 Gmc Envoy, and I love the qualities of the car, but the brakes are horrible and it's crash test rating is really low. I've had people pull out in front of me on more than 2 occasions and my brakes take so long for the car to stop so im really nervous when driving it. I want to trade it in and get a 2000-2005 ford expedition because its on the same platform as my dads f-150 and when I drive his truck the brakes are so much better and I have better visibilty, the expedition is also better in crashes. I know the gas is more but it only gets 2 miles less than my envoy and I only use if to drive to school and footballs games. If i were to switch cars how much would my monthly incurance be? Im 16 and im a honor student so I do get a discount with farmers insurance. Also i believe right now my envoy is pricey because its the high class edition with the heated seats and stuff so all of that makes the rate higher. I dont need all of that with the expedition though.

Phoenix, or maybe the whole of Arizona, requires me to have current registration on all vehicles, running or not, located on my property if they can be seen from the street. And yet, the DMV (or MVD as it's called here) suspended my plates and registration on one of the inoperable vehicles I own for lack of insurance coverage on said vehicle. Am I required to insure inoperable vehicles? Furthermore, am I required to declare a vehicle as inoperable with the DMV or my insurance company? Is there a special type of registration required that I did not know about?

my fiance and i are planning to buy a used car soon, and we were wondering about how much car insurance would cost us. the insurance would go under my name, but it would cover him as well. we are both 21. neither of us have had an accident. we both have pretty good credit. i've had no tickets, he's had 3, each in a different state (they were only minor speeding tickets). he's had his license since 17 y/o and i've had mine since 18 y/o.

I turn 16 on December 30th, and i can get my license on January 4th. I know insurance costs less if you have a 3.0 or something like that in California, thats the state i'm asking about. My brother got hit by someone while driving. He and this other person exchanged information and the other person agreed to write him a check, but never followed through. He isnt sure if the person who hit him had insurance, but has a feeling they didnt. He reported the claim to his insurance company, but decided to sue(small claims) the person who hit him on his own for the deductible. When he arrived to court he found out the person who hit him filed a counter-claim for damages done to their car, but they are the ones who hit him! Can he get the insurance company to give him a release letter to sue on their behalf or will they take over? I dont know what to tell him or how to help him. Help please!!!
